Description
Français : Le marbre blanc de Saint-Béat a pu occasionnellement remplacer le blanc de Carrare. Son grain plus gros le rend cependant plus dur et donc plus difficile à sculpter.
English: White marble from Saint-Béat (French Pyrenees) occasionally replaced Carrara white. However, its coarser grain makes it harder and therefore more difficult to carve.
