Summary

Description When the superconductor is a Type I the phase transition between the superconducting and normal states is of first order (that is, we can observe a discontinuity between both states for a magnetic field Hc). If it is a Type II superconductor, the phase transition between both states is of second order (which means that we don't have a discontinuity at a given Hc, instead, the superconductor enters a mixed state between Hc1 and Hc2).
