Summary

Description This bus (part of the last RTS batch acquired by the MTA in 1998) will probably be among the very last of its kind in MTA service. A batch of 500 new city buses set to arrive beginning in 2018 (split between the New Flyer XCelsior and Nova Bus LFS) is already scheduled to push out the MTA's remaining RTS fleet. That means that we've got less than 2 years to spot MTA RTS in revenue service. That's not too dissimilar to the situation in Boston, which is also planning to replace it's last few dozen RTS units in 2018.
