On Thursday, April 25, 2019, the Kaiser Family Foundation and the CSIS Global Health Policy Center held a policy roundtable on the latest data on funding for global health, including from the U.S. government. It began with a brief presentation by Joseph Dieleman of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation on the annual Financing Global Health report, which this year includes new data on trends in HIV and malaria funding.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus delivered keynote remarks by remote video from Geneva on his vision to finance Universal Health Coverage.

A roundtable conversation followed, featuring:

- Chris Collins, president of Friends of the Global Fight; - Jen Kates, vice president and director of Global Health & HIV Policy at KFF (moderator); - Stephen Morrison, senior vice president and director of the CSIS Global Health Policy Center; - Christopher J.L. Murray, professor and director at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation; and

- Loyce Pace, president and CEO of the Global Health Council.
