Description
English: The 1887 Llewelyn Building is the only French Provincial building in the Gaslamp Quarter. Owner William Llewelyn operated a boot and shoe store here until 1906. Anker's Pendleton Western Wear operated here from 1906 until 1973. Upstairs the Louis Hotel was home to prostitutes and was considered one of the least savory addresses in the Gaslamp Quarter.
