Description

Le Moulin de Lecq. Formerly a fullers mill, with parts of the mill dating back to the 12th century.
The current 21 foot diameter water wheel weighs 18 tons and is the largest water wheel on the Island.
The Germans later requisitioned the wheel to generate power for their search light batteries throughout the war years until the liberation.
The mill was last used to grind corn in 1929 and is now a wonderful free house and restaurant.
