Summary

Description
English: This is a red visible satellite imagery of Typhoon Lan, and Major Hurricane Dora, developing separately in the Central West Pacific Ocean. Lan at that time, was at an intensity of 115 kts, or 215 km/h, which makes it a category 4 equivalent tropical cyclone in accordance with the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale (SSHWS). Its center depicted a well-defined and visible eye surrounded by deep convection. Dora, on the other hand, was a Category 3 hurricane, with maximum one-minute sustained winds of 105 kts, or 205 km/h. Its center featured a cloud-filled eye, along with rather some deep convection.
