Summary

Description A German Army unmanned aerial vehicle, known as Luftunterstuetzte Unbemannte Nahaufklaerungs-Ausstattung (LUNA), is recovered from its net following its fly-over mission to the Combined Endeavor training site May 9. LUNA team members disassemble the craft and take it to the maintenance shop in preparation for its next training mission. Combined Endeavor 2007, a U.S. European Command-sponsored exercise, brings U.S., NATO, Partnership for Peace (PfP) and other nations together to plan and execute interoperability testing of command, control, communications and computer systems from participant nations in preparation for future combined humanitarian, peacekeeping and disaster relief operations.
