Summary

Description
English: The Korkeakoski rapids in Korkeakoskenjoki are the tallest free flowing natural white water in Finland. The river runs mostly in a nature reserve which is in the far west point of an ancient geoformation running all the way from the South-East border of Finland to Tuovilanlahti, Maaninka, Kuopio. The river Korkeakoskenjoki creates a unique local climate in the nature reserve, with many endangered plants and insects.
