Description
English: 1932 aerial view of the Johnson's Ranch Airfield in the Big Bend region of West Texas. The large cottonwood tree visible at the far right, next to the river and adjacent to the ranch headquarters, was where the Mexican bandits that raided the ranch in 1929 assembled under. Scan from page 127 "Wings Over the Mexican Border" (1984) by Kenneth Baxter Ragsdale.
