Description Photograph of JL Todd with an experimental monkey during an expedition to the Congo from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, 1903-5. The objectives of the expedition were to continue the work on trypanosomiasis commenced in 1902-3, to study other tropical diseases of men and animals, and to report on the sanitation of European communities in the Congo Free State.
