Das „Prellen-„ von Tieren galt als lustiger Zeitvertreib und fand auch am Hof Friedrich Wilhelms I. statt. Die Tiere wurden dazu eingefangen, unter die Menschen gescheucht und mit Leitern oder Tüchern in die Luft geworfen. Nach mehrmaligen Stürzen verendeten sie.
