Notes Tunic of 3rd London Regiment, Anglo Boer War, circa 1900 Sgt William Jordan, 3rd (City of London) Rifle Volunteers Worn by Wlliam Jordan during the Anglo Boer War. Jordan later migrated to New Zealand (1904). He became the first secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party formed in 1907. During WW1 Jordan served in France with the Canterbury Infantry Regiment, embarking with the 32nd Reinforcements. Jordan was New Zealand High Commissioner to London (1936–51) and also became a member of the Privvy Council. He died in 1959.
