Solidago elongata—West Coast Canada Goldenrod. S. elongata grows throughout the Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains and, less commonly, in other regions of California. It is also found south into Baja California and North to British Columbia. In the words of the Jepson eFlora: "Solidago elongata and Solidago lepida [another California native] belong to the taxonomically difficult Solidago canadensis complex including +- 20 taxa in North America." . The plant that provided the flowers grows at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
