Summary

Description
English: SAM K7710, five fully articulated skeletons of juvenile (not fully grown) individuals of the Upper Permian early diapsid reptile Youngina, preserved in life position, huddled head to tail in an underground burrow. Because they are all of the same age it is assumed that they are hibernating brood. The longest individual is almost 1 m long. The fossil comes from the farm Leeukloof 43 in the Western Cape province, from beds of the Teekloof Formation (Tropidostoma assemblage zone, Wuchiapingian).[1]
