English: The bed of four maple leaves was inspired by the vice-regal insignias worn by Canadian Lieutenant Governors. The Garter holds the bilingual name of the Society, and represents customs and traditions of Canada's constitutional monarchy. The three golden maple leaves on one stem was inspired from the Royal Arms of Canada and the coat of arms of Québec and Ontario. The maple leaved coronet is meant to say "the Canadian Crown," the institution that the Society wishes to promote.
