Summary
| Description |
English: Illustration of the OSG condition in PK661. The flyweights had stopped in their resting position, causing an opening as both flyweights toes started to distance between each other. With a considerable gap, the plunger went through the flyweights. As its position was not on top of the flyweights toes anymore, the flyweights couldn't push it upwards. As a result, the OSG valve (located at the upper part of the plunger) remained closed and could never be opened again. The rotating propeller (seen in green) therefore was not able to be saved from overspeed condition. |
