Summary

Description

A Igreja Nossa Senhora da Luz e a Santa Casa da Misericórdia foram construídas em 1540. Em 1630, a Igreja foi saqueada pelos holandeses e incendiada, mas foi restaurada em 1654. Contígua à Igreja está a Academia Santa Gertrudes, um colégio fundado em 1912, pela Associação de Instrutoras Missionárias.

No interior da Igreja, há preciosidades em talha, como o púlpito e o forro.
