The Hyundai Tucson was launched in 2004 and is also produced by the Beijing Hyundai joint venture for the Chinese market. When Hyundai launched the second generation Tucson, known as ix35 in markets such as China, it continued to be produced alongside its successor. It even received a China-only facelift in 2013, featuring a redesigned front and rear end.
