Notes
English: Charles John Crowle was born in 1738 at Fryston Hall, Yorkshire, the eldest son of Richard Crowle, M.P for Kingston-upon-Hull. He was educated at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge, before he was called to the Bar at Inner Temple in 1755. In 1769 he was made Member of Parliament for Richmond, Yorkshire.[1]
