Summary

Description 391 Washington Street, buffalo. Designed by Bethune, Bethune & Fuchs and completed in 1904 with additions by the Buffalo firm of Esenwein & Johnson in 1916-17 and 1924-26. The French St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church (1844-1900) was razed to make way for the Hotel. Louise Bethune (1856-1913), the first female in the United States to be officially recognized as a professional architect by the American Institute of Architects
