English: 130 years old bridge on the river Tapi was built by Theodore Hope.The bridge's foundation was laid in 1874 and it was completed in 1877. Interestingly, it was the first structure to be built in public- private partnership by the residents of Surat, Narmada, Bharuch and Rander towns, according to historians.This is it in current poor condition. |
