Description
3 legged trivet has flattened handle which has been repaired near trivet body. End of handle is split & shaped into a heart. Heart motif is repeated in middle of trivet, & below center heart are 2 circles. Curved side pieces extend approx. 1 3/8" beyond front corners & then bend downward at 90* angles. The 3 legs are riveted on & have flattened, spatulate feet. Back leg, which is round & hollow at top, is loose. One front leg has decorative, curving brace from middle of leg to side of trivet. Front edge of foot on other leg is jagged, & brace is broken off. Surface is rough + pitted.; # engraved on bottom of handle where iron overlaps.
