English: George Weyerhaeuser was kidnapped in 1935 at age nine in Tacoma, Washington. The son of prominent lumberman J. P. Weyerhaeuser, the boy was later successfully released for ransom. Harmon Waley and three other people were later convicted and served prison sentences for their roles in the crime.
