English: Harling Road station - the old station building and signal box. Harling Road station is situated about 11 kilometres east of Thetford and one kilometre west of East Harling. The original building dating from 1845 is still in place > 1702899 to the east of the crossing but the platform has been removed. Its successor > 1702926 is located on the other side on the Ely-bound platform. Freight ceased in 1964 but some 1940s sidings south of the station were retained until 1983. The gated, manually operated crossing gates and the signal box > 1702939 are still in place. At present the station is served by two trains each way/day catering for Norwich commuters.
