Harihara Cambodge Asram Maha Rosei, district de Prei Krabas, province de Takeo Style de Phnom Da Époque préangkorienne VIIè siècle (?). Grès. H. 173 cm.

Harihara est moitié Vishnu à droite sur la photo (avec tiare, disque) et moitié Shiva à gauche sur la photo (avec trident, chignon avec croissant de lune, peau de tigre)

Hari (Celui qui enlève) est un des noms de Vishnu. Celui qui enlève est aussi Celui qui nous console selon Alain Daniélou.

Hara (l'Effaceur) est un des noms de Shiva. Il est identifié à la maladie, à la mort ainsi qu'à la puissance destructrice qui, à la fin des temps, efface l'Univers.
