| Description |
English: Halberstam House is a minimum wooden dwelling designed by Henry Kulka for a couple with a single child. It was realised under the constraints of post war Government building volume restrictions. The exterior weatherboards are oil stained. The entrance is built into the body of the house. The large windows, painted white are finely joined to maximise light, view and the horizons of garden and hills. The bedrooms and lounge are positioned northerly for daylight and dramatic views from the building’s elevated position. |
