Summary

Description
English: Pictured is HMS Ledbury depolyed on Op KIPION in the Middle East.

HMS Ledbury is the oldest of the eight Hunt-class Mine Counter Measures Vessel (MCMV), commissioned in June 1981.

A smaller ship, HMS Ledbury is home to 47 crew members.

Minehunters have glass-reinforced plastic hulls to help conceal their presence from sea-mines. HMS Ledbury is now in theatre as part of the UK four-strong MCMV force permanently based in the Middle East.

She ensures safe passage for larger ships all over the world.
