English: representation of the distribution of haplogroup I1a (aka I1(?), aka I-M253) in Europe.

Please note that this image is an artistic interpretation of scientific data.

I created this map using information from genetic testing results from various companies. I used Photoshop and the GIMP. Among the studies I used as reference were:
