Summary

Description
English: In the time it takes for the Great Court clock in Trinity College Cambridge to strike noon (or midnight) runners try to complete a circuit of Great Court - this is the Great Court Run. This histogram shows how the duration of the striking of 12 varies over the course of a year. The biggest effects are of air density (temperature, pressure and humidity), length of the cable on the driving weights, and most importantly whether the driving cable is on the upper or lower layer on the winding drum.
