Français : Grand pingouin (Pinguinus impennis) Le 3 juin 1844, le dernier couple de grands pingouins futétranglé sur l’île islandaise d’Eldey et leur unique œuf détruit. Les trois pêcheurs responsables avaient été mandatés par un marchand pour ramener un spécimen de cette espèce devenue très rare à cette époque.
