Description
English: When the book with this picture was published, there were two kinds of Brookwell carriages for 15 cm guns. That for the 15 cm RK and that of the 15 cm Mantel Kanone. In the text (p. 206) it becomes clear that the MK was fixed with use of a so called Zurringsbodentars. Therefore this image depicts a 15 cm RK L/22.
Nederlands: Toen het boek waaruit deze afbeelding komt gepubliceerd werd in 1876, waren er twee Brookwell affuiten voor 15 cm kanonnen. Die voor het Mantel Kanon (MK) en die voor het Ring Kanon (RK). In het boek (blz. 206) wordt het duidelijk dat bij het vastsjorren van de MK een zgn. Zurringsbodentars gebruikt werd. Daarom beeldt deze afbeelding een 15 cm RK L/22 uit.
