Summary

Description
English: Wind vectors and fronts on 03 Jul 2015 during the development of a galerna in the Bay of Biscay. The fronts are depicted by an automatic front identification scheme, developed for mesoscale front identification, using ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis (ERA5) 1000 hPa winds: blue and red shaded colors in ms-1 represent southwest-to-northwest and east-to-west wind shifts, respectively. The galerna reached their maximum intensity between 18:00 and 20:00 UTC on the Basque Coast.
