Summary

Description Former United Methodist Chapel, 27 Brougham Road, Southsea, City of Portsmouth, England. Built in 1876 as a Bible Christian Methodist chapel; effectively closed in 1941 when it was damaged by wartime bombing, but it remained in Methodist ownership until it was sold to Portsmouth Corporation in 1953. It became part of Portsmouth College of Art, then in 1981 it was turned into the Aspex Art Gallery. It is a locally listed building.
