Description
Deutsch: Stabilisierung des Singulettzustands relativ zum Triplettzustand im Fluorcarben. Dargestellt sind die beteiligten Orbitale und die Resonanzstruktur des HCF-Moleküls. In Carbenen ohne π-Donor ist kein π-MO-System vorhanden, so dass sich die beiden nichtbindenden Elektronen auf die beiden nichtbindenden Orbitalen am Kohlenstoffatom verteilen können. In diesem Fall führt das Vermeiden der doppelt Orbitalbesetzung zu einem Triplettcarben. Durch den π-Donor wird der Singulettzustand des Carbens stabilisiert, da die beiden nichtbindenden Elektronen (ohne Anregung) im energetisch tiefer liegenden sp₂-Hybridorbital verbleiben und sich nicht auf die antibindenden Molekülorbitale verteilen.
