Summary

Description
English: The Flat Tops mountains of Colorado are a high plateau at 11,000 to 12,000 feet with peaks rising as high as 12,361 feet. The edges of the plateau have been eroded away by tertiary glacial action leaving steep cliffs falling away to verdant valleys. The basalt layers that cap the plateau are exposed by this process.
