Summary

Description
English: February. The goddess Februa (?) seated on a cloud at centre, holding a jug and a plate, a bearded man cutting something which drips onto the plate; the zodiacal sign of Pisces beyond. 1698

Engraving

  • Since there is no specific goddess named Februa, this is highly likely to be Febris or a female version of Februus whose name is given to the month of February. Februa is an epithet of Juno, this is unlikely to be Juno.
