Català: El 5 de novembre de 2008 es va fer el lliurament de la XV edició del Premi Blanquerna. La distinció va recaure en l'empresària i mecenes Esther Koplowitz, en un acte celebrat al Teatro Real de Madrid. El president de la Generalitat, José Montilla, va presidir l'acte. El jurat, presidit pel conseller de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació, Joan Manuel Treserras, va valorar la qualitat de la gestió empresarial i la rellevància de Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas S.A. (FCC) dins la història empresarial de Catalunya i d'Espanya en general. Així mateix, el jurat va distingir la trajectòria social de la guardonada, ja que a través de la Fundació Esther Koplowitz ha mostrat el seu compromís amb els més desfavorits de la societat a la vegada que ha col·laborat en la investigació mèdica i la lluita contra les malalties. En aquest sentit, a Catalunya ha construït residències per a la gent gran sense recursos i finançarà i construirà el Centre d'Investigació Biomèdica Esther Koplowitz (CIBEK).
