English: A random sample from the equilibrium measure of the Lattes map f(z) = (z-2)^2/z^2. This is a measure on the Riemann sphere, the set of complex numbers together with a point at infinity. In this example, the Julia set (the support of the equilibrium measure) is the whole Riemann sphere. The figure shows the set of complex numbers z with real and imaginary parts in [-3,3].
