Summary

Description
English: When no voltage (V) is applied to an electrode, the surface maintains its hydrophobicity. The addition of voltage (V>0) to an electrode creates a temporary hydrophilic surface and induces the aqueous droplet to wet the surface. (2) The contact angle (θ) is formed by the tangential line of the droplet to the surface.
