Deutsch: Einfaches Mikroskop von René Descartes . Aus: René Descartes, "Dioptrik", 1637. Zeichnung eines einfachen Mikroskops von Descartes, 1637. Das Präparat (E) wird von einem Metallstift (G) gehalten. Das eingestrahlte Licht wird vom Spiegel auf das Präparat umgeleitet. Dieses wird durch die plankonkave Glaslinse am Boden des Gehäuses vergrößert und vom Auge des Betrachters erfasst.
