English: Portrait of Edward Hartopp Grove, afterwards Cradock, who was born in 1810 and died in 1886. The sketch is not signed. An inscription on the front of the sketch reads "Edward Hartopp Grove, afterwards Cradock", and an inscription on the back reads "Born 1810. Edward Hartopp Cradock D. D. Principal (1853 - 1886) (as a yound man) (Died 1886) of Brasenose College Oxford. Son of Edward Grove D. C. L. of Shenston Park by his second wife Emilia, daughter of Sir Edward Hartopp of four oaks, Staffordshire". The portrait was in the possession of Edward Warburton Abraham, Palmerston North, New Zealand. Photograph taken 23 March 2019.
