This small adult snake was flipped under a large, flat rock on a south-facing dolomite glade on a cool, mostly cloudy day. Upon discovery it was lethargic, but quickly changed to become defensive and moving away. This day turned out to be exceptionally productive at finding reptiles and amphibians under cover, as dozens of ringnecks and wormsnakes were also found.
