Description Sir Edward Filmer (1566-1629)Lord of Charleton Manor, purchased manor of East Sutton from John Argall. He owned lands throughout Kent. He married Elizabeth Argall (c.1570 - 1638) in 1585, and they were together for 44 years. Together they had 9 sons and 9 daughters. One son, Henry went to Virginia in the USA.
