Знамя князя Пожарского

Изображенное ветхое, шелковой ткани знамя князя Дмитрия Михайловича Пожарского после освобождения им Москвы от поляков и Литвы хранилось в принадлежавшем ему селе Пурих Нижегородской губернии, а в 1827 г. поступило в Оружейную палату. На нем изображен с одной стороны Господь Вседержитель, с другой архангел Михаил и стоящий перед ним на коленях и разувающий сапог Иисус Навин. Вокруг знамени с одной стороны следующая надпись:

«С вышних призирая, убогия приемля, посети нас озлобленныя грехи, Владыко всемилостиве; молитвами Богородицы даруй душам нашим велию милость; всякия скверны, всемилостиве Спасе, аз бых делатель, и в отчаянии в ров впадся, но стеню от сердца и вопию к Тебе, Слове, ускори щедрый, потщися на помощь нашу яко милостив».

На другой стороне вокруг архангела следующая надпись:

«Бысть егда бяше Иисусу у Ерихона и возре очима своими, видя человека стояща пред ним и меч обнажен в руце его, и приступив к нему и рече: наш ли еси, или от сопостат наших? Он же рече ему: аз Архистратиг силы Господня, ныне приидох семо. И паде Иисус поклонился лицем своим на землю и рече ему: Владыко, что повелеваеши Твоему рабу? И рече Архистратиг Господень ко Иисусу: изуй сапог твой с ногу твоею, место бо на нем же стоиши ты, свято есть. И сотвори Иисус тако».
