English: A J50 0-6-0T at Doncaster Locomotive Depot, fresh from repair at Doncaster Works.
Doncaster Locomotive Depot handled all the many engines built new or repaired at the ex-Great Northern Works (the Plant) and several were normally to be seen lined up in the Locomotive Yard: about 10 of the 156 on Shed that Sunday were ex-Works. No. 68973 was a steam-brake only J50/3, built in 1930 to the Gresley group-standard design and in 1949 was allocated to Frodingham. (See also SE5701 : Doncaster Locomotive Depot).
