Tweaking:

I have "lightened" the image in order to compensate for the fact that it will have spent approximately the first one hundred years of its life in a pre-electric house, and will therefore have been darkened by candle smoke and fire smoke. The result may horrify purists, but I think it makes the image more suitable for use as a portrait in a wikipedia entry, especially for those people, bizarrely, who choose to consult wikipedia using a hand held telephone with a screen that is just a few centimeters in width.
