Description
English: Rail crossing sign on the grounds of the historic Wantagh Railroad Complex, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Waiting room outside station. Originally from the Babylon railroad, the Victorian-era station was saved thru the efforts of the Wantagh Historical Society. It was moved a few blocks north to the site of an old neighborhood amusement park in 1966 and restored through 1969. It also includes a diamond-shaped pre-crossbuck railroad crossing sign, and an old grade crossing gate.
