Summary

Description
English: Diacylglycerol lipase is a serine hydrolase that uses the Ser-His-Asp catalytic triad to hydrolyze a diacylglycerol to a monoacylglycerol and a fatty acid. Here the substrate is 1-stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycerol and the products are stearic acid and 2-arachidonoylglycerol. The mechanism is notable for have a tetrahedral intermediate that allows the displacement of the stearic acid with a hydroxyl group.
