Description
English: West face of the Dakota Hogback, viewed from ​​U.S. Route 287, roughly 10 miles NW of Fort Collins. The crest is about 400 feet above the road. The highest outcrop​ is South Platte Formation, which correlates to Cretaceous Dakota Formation classifications outside of Colorado. The red coloration to the right is the Triassic Jelm Formation.
